| This
is an example of the Fiber Optic Star Ceiling that we created for the Rainforest Cafe Restaurant. We have installed the fiber optics in more than 30 of these ceilings throughout the United States. They range in size from 20ft. x 28ft. to 26ft x 40ft. The 2,000 jacketed fibers create 400 constellation stars that flicker or twinkle, 750 Milkyway stars that are static and the balance are used to animate 10 shooting stars. All ceilings are of a September night sky. The typical Rainforest ceiling consists of a sheetrock covered plywood face, suspended from above. In the utility work space just above the ceiling, we install our system. Sheetrock is used to eliminate any visible seams and each of the fiber is polished to maximize star clarity. The ceilings suspended height has ranged from 11ft to 26 ft above the floor. An installation crew, of 2 people, can install this system in approximately 3 days. |
